NCEA and IHSA Opportunities
Burkwood offers two College riding options:
Looking to get recruited and need help?
We have vast knowledge on the college recruiting process for IHSA, Single and dual team NCEA teams. Along with relationships with many coaches around the US. We are happy to offer advice and aid in the recruiting process.
One of the first ways to get seen by a coach is to send a video with you on multiple horses. Coaches do not want to see you just on your horse. They want to see variety and what you are able to do catch riding - just as you would in college.
College Videos:
Burkwood offers College Video blocks to perform flat tests in the “box” and jumping courses on multiple horses. Our facility offers a regulation size NCEA Flat ring to show coaches your ability to navigate the court, accuracy, timing and equitation. Burkwood has multiple rings with full sets of show qualify jumps to impress coaches with your ability to navigate different tracks on different types of rides.
3 Horses on the Flat and 3 Fence horses
Offered in one or two day format depending on facility, trainer availability.
Flat tests will be sent in advance for memorization and practice.
$450
